No matter where you are or what you're doing, get important school updates right on your phone.

What is Remind? Remind is a communication tool that makes it easy to stay involved with your child's learning. Remind is free to use, and you'll be able to get and send messages on any device—even a simple text message from your phone!  Messages can also be translated into 90 languages.

Official accounts are created for all educators, parents, and students at Elkins School District.   Click on the link in the email or text message you receive from Remind or download the free iOS or Android app.  New parents will receive information after their student(s) schedule is created.  Click here to see the Getting Started for Parents video.

Merge duplicate accounts: If you have duplicate accounts, you can self-merge them by logging into one account and adding the contact point (phone/email) from the other account in your Account Settings.

Change your notification preferences: You can add, remove, or edit your phone number and email as well as adjust your app and desktop notifications via your Remind dashboard, under Account settings.

You don't have to use Remind. You can learn how to stop messages on this webpage.

Connect to family members: Remind allows for family member connections between students and parents. Go to your Account settings in the top left corner, and find the option to add your child.

Parents and Guardians,

As you know, we recently changed to Remind for notifications and messages.  We have had several parents/guardians notify us that they are not receiving the District level communications - announcements that were sent on January 5th and 6th.   We want to make sure we reach everyone.

If you are receiving Remind messages from individual teachers, follow these troubleshooting steps:

If you are using the app, make sure it is up-to-date. 

Remind recommends that parents/guardians check their notification preferences.  The preferences you set determine whether you will receive an email, text message, and/or app notification.  Please see the instructions here:  Notification Preferences 

Please also check and make sure you are listed as a parent in the district and school(s) you are connected to – if your role is listed as a student you will not receive all messages.  To check this, go to settings, organizations, and you’ll see a list of schools and districts with your role listed under each one.  Click here for the Remind article about changing your role:  Change Role

Remind support is very helpful.  You can always contact them directly. Within the Remind app, there is a help option with a link to contact remind support.  Or you can email remind at Reminder Support Email

If you are not receiving any messages at all, please call your school office to double-check your contact information.
